Planning to have a journey back
to my childhood memory,
To the land which was once
familiar to my sight,
But the friends i have known for
years, the accent and laughter i
once heard might be "strangers",
However, I have not forgotten
whatever I had experienced and
encountered significantly in life,
I want to see the familiar LAND,
I want to feel the old time FRIENDS,
I want to taste the best FOOD,
I want to smell the fresh AIR,
Perhaps, one-day, I may have gone
back to the days which bestowed me with
happiness, sadness and laughter-but NOT YET!

Lanscapes and buildings might change,
but our land remains the same.
The air and food might smell different,
but back at home, mom's cooking still smells the same.
Friends might still speak the same way,
but the dialect and language that bonds us together is still the same.
Once a hometown might now seem to be a lost town,
but the love and nostalgia will remain the compass
that brings us back to the root.
